So here's to the heroes
With steely grey eyes
Who grappled with evil
And horrors primeval
And never told lies
I'll always remember
To follow their call
Here's to the heroes

All you Amerikans out there.

Remember.

Vote early.

Vote often.
(but don't get caught)

"If you are part of a society that votes, then do so. There may be no candidates and no measures you want to vote for... but there are certain to be ones you want to vote against. In case of doubt, vote against. By this rule, you will rarely go wrong.

If this is too blind for your taste, consult some well meaning fool (there is always one around) and ask his advice. Then vote the other way. This enables you to be a good citizen (if such is your wish) without spending the enormous amount of time on it that truly intelligent exercise of franchise requires."
-- Robert Anson Heinlein, "Time Enough For Love"

"You want to know about voting.

I'm here to tell you about voting.

Imagine you're locked in a huge underground nightclub filled with sinners, whores, freaks and unnameable things that rape pit bulls for fun. And you ain't allowed out until you all vote on what you're going to do tonight.

YOU like to put your feet up and watch "Republican Party Reservation." THEY like to have sex with normal people using knives, guns, and brand-new sexual organs that you did not know existed.

So you vote for television, and everyone else, as far as your eye can see, votes to fuck you with switchblades.

That's voting.

You're welcome."
-- Warren Ellis, "Transmetropolitan Book 3: Year of the Bastard"

Hey, Californians! I don't have the link, but there are instructions online on how to vote often.

(They never took out test mode of the voting machines used there. Oops. So, enough distraction that they don't hear the beep as it goes into test mode and don't get caught hitting the hidden button), and you can vote, well, until they physically carry you away.)
